SCENE CONTEXT: a vast tidal flat at low tide under a bright pale overcast. TALOS and THE EMPRESS are already mid-fight on the first frame, hired raiders swarming them from every side and never running out. She clears the ground with one sweep and rises out of it; he cuts the field open twice and drives the greatsword into the flat; at the end she lifts him up to her. Live-action realism, 30 seconds, one location, eighteen timed shots, hard cuts on action only, real time. NO SLOW MOTION anywhere. ACTIVE REFERENCES defines THE EMPRESS — face, hair, body, bronze regalia, sea-green garment. Not its background or studio light. Here she is soaked. defines TALOS — face, hair, body, cobalt-and-gold armour, dark blue cloak. Not its background or studio light. The dagger on his belt stays sheathed and is never drawn. ADDED: the armour battered, blood-flecked and mud-streaked, the cloak sodden and torn. defines THE GREATSWORD — geometry, proportion, gold hilt, cobalt grip, and its two faces: one a flawless mirror, one engraved with wave scrollwork. Longer than a man is tall. Not its grey background. Exactly one greatsword exists here. defines THE SPEAR in her hands. Not its background. defines THE PLACE — mirror-wet tidal flat, ripple ridges, far dunes and headland, distant sea, bright overcast. Geometry, materials and daylight only. The reference is empty; here it is not. Do not widen it or add architecture. DIALOGUE RULE — FOLLOW EXACTLY. There are FOUR spoken lines in this entire film. Each one is written inside the shot where it happens, below that shot's description, and is spoken THERE AND NOWHERE ELSE. NO LINE IS EVER SPOKEN TWICE, no line is moved to another shot, and no line is repeated later in the clip. Every shot with no line written under it has NO speech in it at all. Nothing written as camera, action or performance direction is ever read aloud. THE RAIDERS. THERE IS NO FORMATION OF ANY KIND: no ranks, no rows, no line, no wall, no circle, no overlapping shields, no levelled hedge of spears, nobody moving in unison. They cover the flat in every direction to the horizon, so densely that no open ground shows anywhere except the trampled patch the two of them hold, and they come at it in one unbroken stream — singly, in pairs, in threes, at different speeds, from every side at once. Some slip in the water, some are shoved from behind, some clamber over the fallen. THEY NEVER RUN OUT AND THE FIELD NEVER EMPTIES. However many are knocked down, thrown or cleared away, the gap is filled from behind within a second by more of them running in, and the flat is as full at the end of every shot as it was at the start. There is no moment before the final impact where TALOS stands in open ground with nobody coming at him. Each wears a bronze HALF-HELM covering skull, brow, eye sockets and nose bridge, leaving the MOUTH, JAW AND CHIN BARE. Beneath it, scavenged gear worn any way it fits, dented split shields and bent spears, corrosion over all of it; mud to the knee, patchy beards, split lips, stained broken teeth. Dirty brown, rust, ox-blood rag and corroded bronze only — NO polished gold, NO cobalt or royal blue, NO gemstones on them. Only the two or three closest to the lens show detail; everyone beyond is a churning mass of bodies and raised weapons, never given individual action or expression. TALOS NEVER STOPS. From the first frame to 15.3 he is fighting continuously — one strike into the next, no pause, no stance-taking, no recovery beat, and he is never once standing still or posing. He speaks while still cutting. None of it costs him anything: not tired, not straining, not in danger, never breathing hard. It is a chore and he is bored by it. He never looks at her and never looks up at her until she brings him up to her at the end. THE EMPRESS barely moves. She works with small gestures only and the water does the rest. She is at ease and quietly enjoying herself, and she never takes a fighting stance. SCREEN GEOGRAPHY, locked for the clip: the distant sea stays on screen-RIGHT, the dunes and headland on screen-LEFT, and the camera keeps that arrangement across every cut and never flips it. RULER: the planted greatsword stands just under TALOS's chest. NEITHER TALOS NOR THE EMPRESS EVER FACES, LOOKS AT OR ADDRESSES THE CAMERA. FIRST FRAME. No establishing, no posing, nobody waiting: TALOS is already mid-swing with the greatsword already travelling and a raider already coming apart off its edge, and THE EMPRESS already has a man off his feet in a column of water beside her. Broken shields and fallen men already in the water at their feet. ACTION TIMING [00.0-02.0] SHOT 1 — Setup A: continuous orbit at shoulder height, six metres out, circling the pair. TALOS is swinging the whole shot — he smashes a shield apart, throws its owner into the shallows and is already into the next man. THE EMPRESS, a stride behind him and facing the opposite way, flicks her wrist and a column of water snatches a raider off his feet and throws him out of frame. Neither of them is ever standing still, and raiders arrive continuously from every side. She does not turn to look at him. THE EMPRESS, dry and unhurried, almost amused: {Like old times.} [02.0-04.5] SHOT 2 — Setup B: static wide at waist height, then rising. She steps clear of him and SWINGS THE SPEAR IN ONE FULL 360-DEGREE HORIZONTAL TURN around herself at hip height. A ring of water leaves the ground along that exact arc and expands outward in every direction at once, a low pressure wave with real weight in it, hitting everyone within twenty metres and throwing them off their feet outward and down. The same water comes back beneath her and lifts her off the flat on a rising column, the camera rising with her; the column spreads and folds into a manta ray made entirely of clear seawater, twelve metres across the wings, and she settles seated side-saddle on its back, spear across her lap. It carries her to more than ten metres and holds there. She stays airborne until the end. Below her the cleared circle is already filling in again and TALOS is surrounded once more. [04.5-05.5] SHOT 3 — Setup C HIS FACE: chest-up on TALOS for ONE SECOND ONLY, his head in the middle of frame, mouth centred, large, unobstructed and clearly readable, men pressing in at the edges of frame. He is cutting as he speaks and does not stop. The line begins here and its last words carry over the cut into the next shot. TALOS, low, flat, bored, contemptuous, never raising his voice, thrown at the men in front of him: {Such filthy faces...} [05.5-07.5] SHOT 4 — Setup D THE CUT: low static wide, lens half a metre above the water, the flat running away to the horizon and packed with raiders the whole way. THE CAMERA DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL. He swings the greatsword flat across in front of him, right to left, and the crescent leaves the blade and travels away from him out across the field. The swarm keeps pouring in at him from every other side throughout. [07.5-09.1] SHOT 5 — Setup E THE RECEIVING END: eye level down among the raiders, forty metres out, with TALOS small and clearly visible in the far background behind the crescent. THE CRESCENT IS TRAVELLING AWAY FROM HIM AND TOWARD THIS LENS; it never turns round and nothing ever travels back toward him. Bodies press in on both sides of the lens. It comes in fast and dead level and the men between it and the lens are picked up and thrown backwards one row after another as it reaches them. It arrives, the frame is taken by pale gold light and flying water, and the shot cuts. The men to the left and right of its lane are untouched and still running inward. [09.1-10.3] SHOT 6 — Setup C again, identical framing, ONE SECOND ONLY. Same rules: face centred, mouth readable, still cutting, the swarm already back on him. The line begins here and carries over the cut. TALOS, same register, a shade quieter, already mid-cut on the next man: {...and still you come running.} [10.3-12.5] SHOT 7 — Setup F FROM ABOVE: high static overhead, the whole field in frame. THE CAMERA DOES NOT MOVE. The weight of the sword carries him round in a full turn and he cuts back left to right; the second crescent goes out across the opposite side, and from up here you can see exactly what it does — it opens ONE LONG NARROW LANE through the crowd all the way to the edge of frame while the mass on either side of that lane is completely untouched and still closing on him. Both lanes are already filling in from their sides before the shot ends. [12.5-13.5] SHOT 8 — Setup G THE RAISE: low angle from the flat looking up at him against the bright overcast, raiders closing in on both sides of frame. He steps his front foot forward, brings the greatsword up in both hands past his shoulder and over his head until it stands almost vertical, point down, the whole length of it against the sky and the mirror face throwing a hard band of light across his chest. His grip closes. [13.5-14.2] SHOT 9 — Setup H THE GROUND: extreme low, lens down at the surface of the standing water looking straight up at the descending point. The blade comes down at the lens, filling the frame, water shivering in the last instant before it lands. [14.2-15.3] SHOT 10 — Setup I THE IMPACT: waist height, close on the point of impact. The blade goes into the flat with his whole body behind it, buried a third of its length, and the hit throws a ring of water and wet sand outward past the lens. Cracks tear away from the buried steel across the mud in every direction. He does not let go of the hilt. [15.3-16.0] SHOT 11 — Setup J ABOVE: on THE EMPRESS, seated. Pale gold light is already leaking up out of the cracks below and reaching her face. She looks down at it and the corner of her mouth pulls up — brief, just for herself. She does not speak and this is the only moment she is seen before the glare. [16.0-17.5] SHOT 12 — Setup K THE SEAM: lens skimming the water surface, racing outward from the buried sword. A seam of pale gold light runs from it, under the water and through the mud, spreading out beneath the whole crowd still closing in. [17.5-21.0] SHOT 13 — Setup L THE FALL: low, tilted up past him into open sky, static once it settles. The overcast whitens and a colossal blade of light, tens of metres long, comes down through it and drives into the flat. It lands once. The ground caves and a ring of water is thrown outward across the entire field, taking everyone still standing with it. This is the only moment in the clip where the field empties. [21.0-22.6] SHOT 14 — Setup M HER FACE: close on THE EMPRESS. She lifts the back of her free hand across her eyes against the glare coming up at her from below; light runs between her fingers and across her face. She does not flinch away. [22.6-23.6] SHOT 15 — Setup N THE GESTURE: tight on her hand alone. The light dies, she lowers that hand, turns it palm-up and opens her fingers, and lifts it slowly. Nothing else is in frame but her hand and the wing of the manta. [23.6-25.0] SHOT 16 — Setup O HIS FEET: low on the flat at TALOS's boots. Standing water slides in toward him from every side, gathers, and rises into a broad open water lotus that builds one petal at a time until it has closed around and under his feet. He looks down at it. It is transparent, moving water throughout. [25.0-26.6] SHOT 17 — Setup P THE LIFT: wide from the side, both of them in frame. The lotus rides up on an unbroken column of water that stays connected to the flat below the whole way, carrying TALOS off the ground. HER OPEN HAND IS VISIBLE IN THE UPPER PART OF THE SAME FRAME AND RISES AT EXACTLY THE SAME SPEED HE DOES, so the hand and the man move together and it is obvious she is lifting him. He rides up standing, the greatsword drawn up out of the flat and held in one hand, his expression unchanged. [26.6-30.0] SHOT 18 — Setup Q THE TWO OF THEM: a two-shot more than ten metres above the flat, THE EMPRESS on the manta and TALOS standing on the lotus, level with each other and facing each other for the first time in the clip, three-quarter to the lens, both mouths readable. She speaks, once. Then, after the line, the corner of her mouth pulls up into a small private smile. He says nothing at all and his face does not change. Water falls from the manta and from the lotus column past them both. Hold to the end. THE EMPRESS, to TALOS face to face, said as a complaint and meant as praise: {Still too bright.} THE CRESCENTS — FOLLOW EXACTLY. The arc the sword traces tears loose and leaves the blade as ONE crescent-shaped blade of pale gold light, standing upright on its edge perpendicular to the ground, as tall as three men and about eight metres wide. It travels AWAY from TALOS in a dead straight line, skimming the water, and does not stop, curve, turn, come back, fade or shrink — it keeps going until it passes out of frame at the horizon. Nothing ever travels back toward him. Men in its path are not neatly sliced; they are hurled off their feet in the exact order it reaches them, so a travelling wave of bodies goes up and backwards ahead of it. IT CLEARS ONLY THE LANE IT PASSES THROUGH — a corridor about its own width. It does not wipe the field, it does not spread sideways, and everyone outside that corridor is untouched and still running in at TALOS. Both lanes begin filling in again from their sides within a second of the crescent passing. Two crescents are fired and neither of them ends the fight. THE LIGHT. All of it runs one visible cycle: the mirror face gathers light off the water and sky, the field visibly darkens as it gathers, it leaves the blade along a path you can see, it lands and that thing physically breaks, then it is gone with no afterglow and no lingering shape. Pale gold, never white and never neon. Spray, mud dust and heat shimmer are carried inside every crescent and beam, and real shadows and reflections fall onto water, mud, armour and faces. No light appears outside this cycle, nothing glows on its own, and none comes out of TALOS, his armour, the empress, the manta or the lotus. Never a smooth graphic shape, never a clean glowing sheet, never a comic-book slash line, no particle sparkles, no lens flares. WATER. Everything she makes is clear moving seawater you can see through, never a solid or a glowing shape: the pressure ring, the column, the manta and the lotus all show light bending through them, sheet water off their edges and drip continuously. The ring hits like a wave, not a push. The lotus column stays physically connected to the flat below for the whole lift. PHYSICS. The greatsword has real mass: it takes his whole body to move and it is what turns him, not the other way round; planted, it stands on its own. Every cut connects with weight — shields cave and split, men are thrown rather than folding. The plant at 14.2 lands with the force of a man driving a stake: real recoil up his arms, real displacement of water and sand. Ankle-deep seawater drags at everyone running through it and men who go down go down into water. The only daylight source is the broad overcast above, even and shadowless, reflected back off the wet flat — no lamp, no fire, no other source. AUDIO. Wind, the drag and slap of shallow water, hundreds of running feet in it, bronze on bronze, shields splitting, bodies hitting water, breath, falling water from 04.5. Spoken audio is only the four lines written in their shots above, each said once. NO MUSIC OF ANY KIND — sound effects and dialogue only. No subtitles, no on-screen text, no logo, no watermark, no narration. STYLE. Live-action realism, real skin texture, real wet fabric, real corroded metal. Cool grey-blue and pale silver dominate, warm ochre in the sand, one warm accent in the gold. Gentle contrast, natural film grain, natural motion blur. Every object is period-correct for a bronze age coastal kingdom or earlier. POSITIVE CONSTRAINTS. Exactly two named characters appear: TALOS and THE EMPRESS; everyone else is an unnamed raider whose face resembles no reference and who is never given a name or a moment of his own. Between shots nothing resets — the dead, the broken shields, the open lanes, the crater, his armour damage and the planted sword all carry forward exactly as the previous shot left them.
